Glider Fam Flying
Please register here for Gliding at Abbotsford Airport. We can take 12 cadets per shift to this activity. Parental drop-off and pick-up is required.
Morning shift: 0845 - 1230hrs
Afternoon shift: 1245 - 1630hrs
The activity will be held outdoors, please be dressed in appropriate civilian attire for the weather.
Things to bring: Water, snacks, jacket
You must arrive with everything you need - there is no entering or leaving the airfield once the activity is underway.

It is possible that the event gets cancelled due to inclement weather. If so, we will know by 6am on the day of, and an announcement will be posted to the website & email sent to those participating.
The very basic map blow indicates how to find CFS Abbotsford, which is on the east side of the Abbotsford International Airport, not at the terminal building. The street address for CFS Abbotsford is 1593 Threshold Drive, Abbotsford. From Highway 1, the route to CFS Abbotsford is via south on Mt. Lehman Road, east on Simpson Road, south on Queen Street through the airport gate, then east and curving south to the Abbotsford Air Show compound.

Remembrance Day Parade
This parade is MANDATORY for ALL CADETS to attend. Dress of the Day: Full Dress Uniform(C1), if you don’t have a blue uniform wear your FTU’s(C5). If you have neither, then wear Black and Whites. (If it is raining or cold, we will allow cadets to wear their parka or a dark coloured civilian coat with black gloves).
More information will be provided once we receive more details from the Legion. After parade cadets are served Hot Dogs including Vegetarian options and juice from the Legion members.

This is a weekend, 1 night overnight activity for senior cadets to learn FTX skills and be able to teach them on future FTX’s
This is a local FTX at Tynehead Regional Park. Parental Drop-Off and Pick-Up will be directly at the location. There is no Transportation provided by the squadron.
