What do you do in band?

Dragon Flight is a Marching Band! We do all the regular band stuff: learn music, practice our instruments, have a great time! But we also do drill - yes, we move while playing! Our performances don’t take place on a gym floor or theatre stage; instead we go out and march in community parades, and perform amazing routines on arena floors.

Do I need to know how to play an instrument?

No music experience is necessary! While having some music background would help you greatly, we can train you to read and play from scratch. Just make sure you practice a lot at home!

Do I need to own an instrument?

The squadron has some instruments to loan cadets. However, our selection is limited so you may have to loan one from a music store if we don’t have the instrument you want to play.

Where do you practice?

Band practices are Thursday Nights, 6:30-9:30pm. Please check the event calendar for more details.
